Dennis Firth
Dennis Firth is recognized as a leader in Canadian golf. With more than 24 years experience, he has a reputation as an innovative, service-minded professional with a proven ability to build a strong club culture while developing loyal and dedicated teams. He is a Board Member of BPG Buying Group, Titleist & FootJoy Leadership Advisory Staff member and was invited to join the Levelwear Clubhouse Council. He has an impressive record of success as a player, including a third-place finish in the 2009 Ontario PGA Pro-Am at TPC Sawgrass, the 2010 PGA of Ontario Head Professional/Assistant Champion, and has competed in several Canadian PGA National Championships. Dennis is a past Board member of the PGA of Ontario, a Professor at Humber College’s Professional Golf Management Program, a member of the PGM Advisory Board for 10 years, and has appeared on the Golf Channel, City TV and SCOREGolf Magazine and the PGA of Canada –Ontario Zone Three Man Scramble and Nike Golf League at Angus Glen.
 
Class "A" Professional
Kyle Davey
Currently a “Class A” Associate Professional who is originally from Cambridge, Ontario. Kyle attended Humber College, graduating with a Diploma in Business Administration. He began his career at The National Club of Canada in Woodbridge, Ontario where he spent 8 seasons. Kyle joined us for one season at Royal Montreal in 2013. He moved to Ottawa where he had two successful seasons as an Associate Professional at The Ottawa Hunt Golf Club. Kyle brings us a passion for retail and merchandising.
 
Director of Instruction
Garrett Malcolm
Garrett is a PGA of Canada “Class A” professional with 10 years of coaching experience. After playing hockey most of his childhood, at 16 years of age, he took up golf and turned pro just 5 years later. In 2013, Garrett graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Kinesiology and achieved Class A status within the PGA of Canada in 2017. After winning the Moe Norman Award (National Assistant Professional of the Year) in 2016 Garrett moved to The Royal Montreal Golf Club where he is entering his 5th season. In 2020 Garrett’s students handicap index’s improved by an average of 1.9 strokes! Garrett is passionate about continuing his education and holds certifications with Trackman, Foresight and TPI. Garrett’s background in Kinesiology combined with passion for teaching and club fitting golfers of all skill levels give him a well-rounded and simple approach to getting the most out of each individual he works with.
 
Class "A" Professional
Taylor Fahey
Taylor became a member of the PGA of Canada in 2011 after graduating from the Professional Golf Management program at Camosun College in Victoria, BC. Although Taylor’s hometown is Regina, SK, he has spent most of his life living in BC; including Langley, Kelowna and Victoria. Taylor served as Assistant Professional at Black Mountain Golf Club in Kelowna from 2012-2015 before moving to Gallagher’s Canyon Golf Club to become Associate Professional for 2 seasons (2016-2017). Taylor earned his Class A status with the PGA of Canada in 2017 and is now entering his 4th season at the Royal Montreal Golf Club. He is honoured to be a part of such an exceptional team of professional staff. Taylor’s passion for teaching golf and helping others improve their game is one of the reasons he became a Golf Professional. He enjoys teaching golfers of all skill levels and puts an emphasis on training the mental aspect of the golf game.
 
Associate Golf Professional
A.J. McKenzie
Since entering the golf industry in 2003 and turning professional in 2006, A.J. served as a General Manager with Golf North Properties for three seasons and First Assistant at Deer Ridge Golf Club in Kitchener, ON (2011-2013). A.J. brings a wealth of management, teaching and playing experience to the Professional Staff at Royal Montreal. With a strong passion for competition, A.J. thrives on a strong mental approach to the game of golf and passing along his experiences of tournament golf to the members of Royal Montreal.
 
Assistant Golf Professional, Junior Coordinator
Andrew Hudencial
Starting at a young age, Andrew has always been involved with golf. From competing in junior golf events to the collegiate level, it's given him plenty of experience. He has achieved his Business Administration Diploma and Professional Golf Management certification at Humber College. Andrew was a lead camp instructor for several years at St. Andrew’s Valley Golf Club and an acting Assistant Professional for a season at King Valley Golf Club. In 2021 he joined The Royal Montreal Golf Club and earned status with the PGA of Canada as a Golf Professional his first year. Andrew loves working with everyone but really strives to grow the game through youth. Golf has provided him with many opportunities and now he enjoys giving back to the game as much as he can with the Members of Royal Montreal.
 
Head Teaching Professional
Lisa Meldrum
Lisa is a PGA of Canada “Class A” professional specializing in Teaching & Coaching. She holds a wealth of competitive golf experience, having competed at the highest level as a Member of the LPGA Tour during the 2010 & 2011 season. Lisa’s competitive amateur career includes winning the 2000 Canadian Junior Championship, the 2001, 2002 and 2003 Canadian Women’s Amateur Championship, and several NCAA Division 1 events while she was a student/athlete at the University of Oklahoma. Over the years, Lisa’s background in instruction has been developed by working along side and continuously learning from many of the industry’s leading instructors, body specialists and mental performance coaches. She is TPI certified and a Level 2 ELDOA practitioner. As a Trackman certified owner and operator, Lisa remains at the forefront of her field, bringing a well-rounded approach to her teaching, one that encompasses all aspects of the game and at all levels of play for both adult and junior golfers.
